Answer Garden is a type of feedback tool. It can be used in the classroom, the boardroom, or as a brainstorming tool. Poll anyone group, friends, family, colleagues, students and more. The question and/or results can be pasted into Twitter or included in a blog.

It works by typing in a question or posing a topic on the Answer Garden page. Choose a question that has one or two word answers, an example could be as shown above, What makes you happy? People will type their answers into the box and they will be displayed as a word cloud as in the example above. You can hove over a word to see how many times it has been typed. If you include a password when creating the question, it is possible to edit words or phrases that may be deemed inappropriate. This must be done when creating the question. The final results can be exported into Wordle or Tagxedo to make it into word art, using color and/or images.

Answer Garden can be used by anyone interested in an easy and efficient way to get brief feedback fro a group. It can be used by teachers to establish knowledge levels on a certain topic, used by a workshop, or conference to "break the ice," or used as a brainstorming tool in the school or workplace. It is free to use and there is nothing to sign up for. If needed, the responder may have to enter the password into the computer, this allows editing of answers later. This is a fun and powerful tool for creating and sharing. Please check out the site and try out the tool.
